What to Have

WHAT TO BRING,  WHAT TO WEAR?
When making a trip to the jungle, a slight luggage with indispensable items is recommended specially if it is a short visit. If you wish to store your luggage and take only the most important, we have a storeroom in our office in Iquitos.
  • Raincoat
  • A flashlight.
  • An extra set of rechargeable batteries.
  • Cotton clothes, pants and long sleeve shirt.
  • Several pairs of socks and t-shirts.
  • Hiking boots or walking tennis shoes resistant to humidity.
  • Bathing suit.
  • Personal medicine
  • A  sweater (sometimes the temperature goes down considerably when it rains or during the trips by boat.
There are certain items that are necessary for all excursions:

  • Hat/ Cap (preferably with large visor to protect neck)
  • Sunscreen/ Sunblock
  •  Insect Repellent (OFF brand is recommended)
  • Camera / Film
  • Sunglasses
  • Water
  • Long Sleeve shirt
  • Binoculars
REGULATIONS DURING JUNGLE HIKING
Groups of no more than 10 visitors are led by a guide and please consider these recommendations:
  •  Follow your guide
  • Do not disturb or remove any native plant or animal.
  • Always follow the trails that are marked out by the guides
  • Take at least 1 bottle of water.
  • Do not take food to the jungle
  • Do not smoke
  • Do not litter
  • Try to wear light-colored clothes and avoid wearing jewerly
